Been staying at Los Abrigados for years. Even organized a couple family reunions at the resort. It’s under new management with Hilton now the owners. I’ll start with the good. The location is fantastic - a short walk to Tlaquepaque and next to the creek. If you get a remodeled room, you’ll enjoy much nicer kitchen and bathroom. The service, however, has really gone down hill. - My party arrived early at 2:30pm (check in is at 4pm). They pre-checked me in and said my room was almost ready and they would text me when it was ready - By 4:15, I didn’t have a text so I asked the front desk. They said room would be ready soon - 7:30pm and still no text, so I stopped by the front desk again. The computer showed my room as not ready yet (3.5 hrs after check in). They found another room….but it was half ready. TVs didn’t work. DVD remote but no DVD. No shampoo. No conditioner. No coffee filters for the coffee machine. Upon checkout, I asked to speak to the manager, Edgar, to share my experience. That room was missing so many details. But he was at lunch, so they took my name and number. The rest of the day went by and no phone call. I suppose the next guests will have a similar experien

We reserved a weekend .. we couldn't check in early which was fine. We did enjoy the spa. Our room was a deluxe updated room. However, the bedroom door was only on by 1 hinge lol patio view was old bushes and a wall. We didnt at any point have hot water on the stay. Cold showers are refreshing right lol The location made it easy to walk to everywhere we wanted to see. The kitchen was nice with a full size fridge. Bed was an old pillow top coil mattress, not our favorite but did the job.

Perfect location and nice outdoor amenities. Right on the river in the center of town. Access to pickleball, tennis, putt-putt, 2 pools, game room, outdoor games and walking trails. Lobby and common areas are nice but the pool needs to be updated. The facility is massive so upkeep seems to be hard to handle for them. The rooms are VERY dated but were clean and the AC worked well. Looks like the last refresh was in the 80’s. A renovation is in progress so hopefully it is much better soon. Parking is tough if you go out for dinner and need a space after dark. You will probably have to park near the front and walk back to your building and it’s a multiple acre property so some walks are long. On the plus side, you can walk to great sights and dining. There is plenty to do on-site or within a mile of the property. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall a nice place as a home base if you don’t mind a little bit of a retro vibe in the room.
